  1. Never use any type of cleaning solution on these trees. Not only can this affect the lights, but it can actually cause damage to the tree. For example, you may find that a cleaning solution causes the tree to fade or even the needles to start falling out due to this cleaning solution. If the tree must be cleaned, eb sure that you are only lightly dusting this with a rag minus any type of dusting solution.
  2. Always store this in the original box in which it came in or invest into a tree bag. You will find that either option will help to keep this tree nice and dry throughout the year when not in use. When stored properly, there are less chances that this tree is going to need any type of cleaning, plus it keeps the lights safe.
  3. Be careful of the wires to the lights that is on your prelit Christmas tree. You do not want to damage these in any way. The most common way that these become damaged is through putting this tree together and smashing a main wire, causing an internal break.
  4. Avoid letting your pets try to play with the tree. For those who have indoor pets, they know just how much of a hassle that this can be. A suggestion is to put a baby gate around the tree to keep pets from going near it.
  5. Don’t put this tree near a heat vent, as this could affect the color of the tree where the heat is hitting it. It may not happen immediately, but over time it could be an issue.
  6. Do not spray scented sprays onto this tree. There are tons of products out there that are designed to be sprayed to help give your home a holiday smell. Do not spray these directly onto the tree! As it could affect the lights or the branches.
